The Conn 4J Tuba

Here is my Conn 4J tuba. I received this instrument from my Dad when I was a senior in high school. That was a major step for us because my interests varied so much and he knew it! I feel good knowing his money was well spent. Considering it's age, it's in pretty good condition. It has a lot of lacquer wear in the form of breaks, discoloration and scratches but nothing major. There are a few small dents but they are small. You can see where it was desoldered a 15 or so years ago where someone broke into storage and knocked it around. It bears scars from a moonlighter repairman. Fortunately for me it was not stolen. I played it during college and every gig in between.
