The European Rotary Trumpet
Here is a no name European rotary valve trumpet. It is also an Ebay find. It arrived with two broken braces and has very stiff rotary valves. The mouthpiece is stuck as well as the slides. This one has an unusual layout of the tuning slides and a nice streamlined shape. I am not a trumpet player, but this one seems like it will be a challenge to play due to no places to grasp the horn and the stiffness of the rotary valves.
About a week after I had the instrument, I managed to get the mouthpiece out of the horn without the use of a puller. There were also two places where the solder had broken. Since there was no lacquer on the instrument and little chance of me making the trumpet look worse, I soldered the them back in place. They turned out pretty good and the instrument is much more stable to play. I have not had as much luck with the slides. I managed to free two of them.
